My son updated Paradox Green 2 days ago and I was able to finally get his saved games back. After the update, the screen blanks out and nothing happens (you just see the funkey mouse pointer). Doing an alt-f4 calls the "Are you sure you want to exit" dialog box. I installed fresh on my laptop to see what's going on and it worked after the upgrade. I copied his "saved" data over to my laptop (didn't actually know which I should copy over so I just grabbed everything under the data directory -- under program files \ U.B.funkeys\RadicaGame). This recreated the same problem I saw on the other PC. It looks like there is some upgrade issue with some of the save files. It's a good thing I saved the "working" system directory and discovered this simple process to get it going.If anyone out there upgrades and gets a similar problem they could follow these steps (please create a backup of all folders to make sure you still have your data in case something goes wrong):1) under the program files \ U.B.Funkeys \ RadicaGame \ data directory, you'll see the user names and the system directory. It would be good to save this whole data directory.2) uninstall/reinstall, start it and create some dummy user, exit3) change the date by a day on your PC to get software to do the automatic update. Get the automatic update and wait for it to restart. You will now be able to walk around and see the Paradox green updates. Exit.4) from the saved data directory, grab the user you want "restored". If your user was named Eddie, then you will have a folder named Eddie. Copy that over to the same location. You would also need to copy the users.rdf from your old data\system directory over to the new system directory.Restart the game and you should see your old user back on the list and your old saved information back.I hope this helps some people out there!
